Theories that do not also address non-problematic gambling are necessarily incomplete. Theories of gambling behavior have largely focused specifically on pathological, or problem, gamblers. The present research wasdesigned specifically to examine gambling motivation among college students with a long term goal of determining why gambling is so prevalent in this population.
